RMF Unit

The function of this unit is simple: the back jaw of a clamp is pushing the plate back, so front jaw of the clamp and a stopper module are clamping the workpiece,

It is important to understand the floating fixture principle in general:

  • The set utilises the RMF Unit, so that a clamp and a stopper clamps around the workpiece
  • This ensures that the set is adjusting to the workpiece location, ensuring the workpiece is not misaligned
  • It also means that the workpiece must be located by other means.

The unit works effectively on Multi-Rail RM- and RL base rails.  In addition when clamping is automated using ELVA electrical actuation or hydraulics, these modules work brilliantly.

When used with RM-sized rails, the workpiece must be elevated from the other rails of the application to align with the height of the RMF unit.
