Tungsten carbide coated model

One of our newest low-profile clamp designs posses two jaws with hard tungsten carbide coating

These workholding clamps are an excellent choice when:

  • Clearly visible clamping marks are not allowed in the workpiece but high friction is still needed.
  • Thin-walled workpieces are being machined.

These jaws create required holding force with less clamping force whilst preventing distortions of the workpiece while clamping. The tungsten carbide-coated jaw has a friction coefficient of 0.28 against steel, which is nearly doubled compared to smooth jaws with a friction coefficient of 0.15 against steel.
